Candice Hendricks is a paediatric haematologist and clinician scientist, having completed her PhD at the Institute for Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Pretoria in 2024. She is working towards increasing access to paediatric haematopoietic stem cell transplantation for South African paediatric patients and completed paediatric HSCT training in Italy in 2024. Her passion extends to advanced cellular and gene therapies and she chairs the BloodSA Paediatric HSCT and BloodSA Cell and Gene Therapy working parties.
